If the problems persist within the warranty period after the initial repair, additional repairs may be necessary and again the method of repair shall be determined solely by JVC CONCRETE LLC.

The Initial installation must be paid for in full before warranty issues will be resolved.

Conditions excluded from warranty coverage are as follows:

1. Minor cracking that is determined to be natural function of shrinkage, settling, and minor curing of the concrete.

2. Minor cosmetic surface imperfections such as surface air voids. Aggregate discolorations, from marks, tie holes, pop outs and related imperfections are a normal result of the concrete process and as such are not warrantable.

3. Scaling, discoloration, or pitting of flatwork due to chemicals, solvents, or deicing agents. General maintenance instructions will be provided for each project outlining steps that homeowners can take to remove minor strains from oil, rust, mineral deposits, and excessive dirt build up.

4. Settling or cracking of flatwork such as walk, stoops, patios, or driveways that are installed adjacent to new construction. (Customer signed waiver will be obtained prior to proceeding with this type of work).

5. Damage caused by improper landscape drainage, stopped up drain tile, or excessive humidity.

6. Damage caused by commercial vehicle traffic on flatwork not designed for loads of that nature.

7. Damage caused by premature use of the concrete surface by foot traffic, furniture, equipment, or vehicles. Minimum waiting periods as listed are for good weather conditions during warm weather.

                                                     MINIMUM WAIT TIME

Foot traffic                                    24 HRS*

Furniture, grills, tables etc             72 HRS*

Non Commercial vehicle traffic       168 Hrs* (7 Days)

Backfill (for foundation work)          10 days*

Bracing (for foundation work)          until 1st floor deck is placed

* Note- All of the above times will increase if the installation takes place when temperatures drop below fifty degrees as the curing time will increase.

Chemical additives will be used as needed to insure initial set up of the concrete, but will alter the lengthened wait times in cold weather. Bracing can be installed by JVC CONCRETE LLC or by other trades 3-5 days after the forms have been stripped. It should be installed in accordance with American Concrete Institute guidelines depending on wall length and height.

8. Damage caused by water to unsealed flatwork, porches, or stoops.

9. Damage caused by water from any opening placed in the concrete by any one other than employees of JVC CONCRETE LLC or an opening sealed by anyone other then employees of JVC CONCRETE LLC.

10. Minor low spots in flatwork or interior floors are unavoidable. JVC CONCRETE LLC will make every effort to keep this type of surface imperfection to a minimum. These minor low spots may be visible and may hold small amounts of water. Properly sealing of flatwork will eliminate any negative effects on the surface and strength of the concrete.
